A BIG thank you to the St Charles Prep Hockey team for volunteering with Feed The Kids Columbus this past weekend.
They helped to unbox thousands of boxes of food to make things more efficient during our Spring Break packing events.
I can’t thank them enough. This is the second time they have shown up in a big way. Warehouse maintenance isn’t always a glamorous job, but to a small 💯volunteer run organization it’s so incredibly helpful and important.
So thank you 🙏🏼
We appreciate you all tremendously especially Soley Hartel Somma for leading the way and always advocating for our cause ❤️#feedthekidscolumbus

Thank you to this awesome group of volunteers for really kicking into high gear today packing up over 33,000 items 😱
Yep you heard that right, we use a lot of food which means we need a lot of helping hands.
Feed The Kids Columbus wouldn’t be what it is today without our amazing volunteers and donors.
Thank you all!!2 packing events down, 3 to go 👏🏼👏🏼

Last weekend we had the pleasure of accompanying Columbus Public Health at Livingston Elementary School for a Family Engagement Day. This school has had significant attendance issues and this event was created to help educate families on the importance of consistent attendance for the children.
Thank you to Romeo’s Pizza Columbus for donating pizza for this event. We’ve learned that attendance can be majorly improved if a hot meal (ready to eat) can be provided.
Romeo’s Pizza 🍕 is always so amazing to work with and their pizza is truly delicious. Also a big thank you to Skyler Kalady and family for representing Feed The Kids Columbus and for helping to packup all 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ non-perishable food bags we provided.

REQUEST
Does anyone have a connection to a restaurant or catering company that might be interested in partnering with us this summer to help feed children and their families at a Community Hour Event?
Our goal is to bring resources to the children to meet them where they are!
Having a ready to eat meal always helps attendance at events like these. 🌭🍔🍕We are also looking for a partner to bring seasonally appropriate clothing 👚🩳👕
Thank you 🙏🏼 Make it a great Friday.

Alton Hall Elementary School received their Spring Break food Bags last week and these cuties helped to unload our vehicles and make sure all the bags were secure until they were passed out.
Thanks you Julie Basom and Dick Basom for delivering and for all your coordinating efforts Julie as one of our Volunteer School Coordinators 🙏🏼❤️
This school year we have 10 Volunteer School Coordinators who help us to build relationships with our school partners. They communicate with the schools to understand needs, receive feedback, and build trust.
We hope to add 4 new schools next year.If this is a position you’d be interested in please let us know.

That said we are beyond grateful for the young women of Ohio State University Pi Beta Phi sorority for partaking in their 2nd food drive for Feed The Kids Columbus 🍎🥨🍿🍪🧃These photos definitely don’t do it justice. I’m fairly certain the Lane Ave. Target has no snacks left on their shelves 😂
You ladies rock! Thank you Lauren Banks for organizing 🙏🏼
